Happy Friday Eve, everyone! More of the same is in store in the weather department…the strong upper-level ridge currently in control of the weather all across the South has not budged whatsoever compared to yesterday. Expect another afternoon with mostly sunny skies and hot temperatures in the low to mid 90s…well above-normal for late May.
Overnight tonight, the weather stays consistent. Mainly clear skies with overnight lows expected in the low 70s. Tomorrow is when we’ll need to start watching for any record high temperatures to be tied or broken across the area…we’ll climb up into the mid & upper 90s areawide. Record highs will be in jeopardy of being tied or broken tomorrow through Memorial Day.
Memorial Day weekend will be sunny & dry all weekend long in Alabama thanks to our current upper-level ridge. No considerable rain chances are back into the forecast until next Wednesday at just 10%. Temperatures will stay in a holding pattern & hot through next week.
