Happy Fourth of July everyone! Hopefully you have the day off and can enjoy any plans you might have, but if those plans take you outside, make sure you’ve got a backup just in case. Showers and storms are possible this afternoon, with the best chances of rain along and east of the I-65 corridor. We aren’t expecting severe storms, but a few will have some gusty winds, and of course, heavy rain. If you steer clear of the rain, expect hot and muggy conditions with highs in the low 90s. The good news for everyone is that any rain should be winding down by sunset, clearing things out for fireworks!
More active weather is expected for the extended weekend as well. Friday and Saturday will be see the best chances of rain through the weekend. Again, no severe weather is expected but you’ll need to watch for those scattered showers to pop up where you are. Low 90s for high temperatures will be the norm with a few places staying in the upper 80s with clouds and rain around. Sunday, we’ll see rain chances go down and start to build back in.
As we start next week, fewer chances for rain and warmer temperatures start to appear. We won’t be completely rain-free, but most of us will stay dry for both Monday and Tuesday.
