Rain and storms continue to track from West to East this morning. HScattered showers will persist across Central Alabama for the first half of Mother’s Day. We should start drying out and cooling off later this evening.
Slowly a cold front will push through the state this afternoon. This will finally bring drier air in from the northwest. However, the drier air will not arrive until late Sunday night. So, expect more waves of wet weather and thunderstorms for the remainder of your Sunday. Temperatures will start out in the mid to upper 60s and will rise to the mid to upper 70s.
High pressure will dominate through next week and will be centered just to our north. This will keep our winds mainly out of the north. It’ll feel FABULOUS next week with low humidity and sunny skies. This weather setup will dry us out through next weekend.
