Central AL Forecast: Rain chances dropping

Drier air has slipped into Alabama, but central Alabama is sitting right in between the dry air to the north and more saturated air to the south. Therefore, some of our viewing area is still being faced with pop ups showers this evening. It will quiet down as we move deeper into the night.

Tomorrow, we may have a few patches of and temperatures kicking off Friday in the upper 60s to low 70s. As for rain, most of the activity should still remain south of I-20, but remember, that's just a good point of reference. Temperatures will again range between the mid and upper 80s tomorrow.

For the weekend, it will be quite June-like. Dry mornings, mild temperatures in the low 70s and an occasional afternoon storm possible. Highs will return to the low 90s.

It will trend a touch drier next week, although we can't completely remove rain form the forecast, the coverage will be very limited. The bigger story next week will be the heat and humidity.
