Wednesday will start off on the chilly side. Temepratures will be in the 30s. Clouds will clear and the sunshine will make a return. With a bit more blue sky, we can expect temperatures to trend about 10° warmer than Tuesday. Highs should top out in the low to mid 50s.
Thursday: Get ready for a little rain. During the morning commute, it stays dry, but clouds will be increasing. There will be scattered showers throughout the day on Thursday, but not expecting a day full of wet weather. Not everyone gets wet either. A broken line of showers begins moving into West Alabama around mid morning and it will move out by Thursday evening.
The weekend is where will see the biggest changes to our forecast. On Saturday rain is likely. The timing is going to be later in the day. After a dry morning, rain moves in during the afternoon and will continue through evening. It will exit to our east early Sunday morning.
Here’s where we will be watching things very closely…WIth some wrap around rain, it could change over to few white flakes to our north, but it’s the FRIGID air that is going to be the real concern. Keep in mind that highs will struggle to get above freexing Sunday, the low drop into the upper teens and low 20s Monday morning. This will impact pipes, pets, plants, and people. Please take proper percaution
We will be looking out for any slick spots Monday morning. Although it will be a dry Sunday and Monday, any leftover wet areas will freeze. There is always a small chance of some black ice or slick spots. With winds increasing Sunday, that should help to dry us out, but if the wind isn’t enough, just be ready. It’s better to be ready.
