TODAY: Heat & humidity are back on the board again for today in Alabama. Highs today should crest in the low 90s, but it will easily feel close to 100° with the humidity factored in. There’s currently a cluster of storms tracking SSE towards Alabama. Depending on how this system progresses, damaging winds & heavy rain are possible this afternoon mainly East of I-65. Beyond that, more pop-up summer storms are possible as well.
TONIGHT: Once the sun sets and the atmosphere cools down, the rain will fade in coverage and give way to partly cloudy skies areawide. We’ll stay pretty warm overnight thanks to the humidity…overnight lows expected in the mid 70s.
TOMORROW: Another day with the heat index in the triple digits. Daytime highs in the mid 90s. Rain chances not quite as high for tomorrow…I’m thinking the majority of us will stay dry. Putting our rain chance at 20%.
NEXT WEEK: The summer pattern is expected to continue for all of next week. Daily rain chances will move back & forth between 20 & 40%. Daytime highs will stay in the 90s, lows in the 70s.
