Central AL Forecast: Storms to Start Moving in This Week

...Weather Pattern Change for Alabama...

After nice, dry weather over the past week, humidity will start to increase on Monday.  The day will start out dry with temperatures in the lower 70s.  Then, winds will turn out of the south and humidity will go up.  We will get scattered thunderstorms Monday afternoon, with about a 40% chance of rain at your house.  High temperatures will reach the lower 90s.  With a cold front and an upper-level trough approaching, thunderstorm chances will continue Monday night, then thunderstorms are likely on Tuesday.  Temperatures on Tuesday will only reach the mid 80s.  Some locations may get over 1 inch of rainfall Monday night and Tuesday.

Things will go back to the Summerlike pattern we have had most of June and July for the end of the week, with scattered thunderstorms each day, mainly in the afternoons and evenings.  Low temperatures will be near 70, with high temperatures in the upper 80s.
