Central AL Forecast: Sunny and Warm Thanksgiving.

That cold front that brought us rain today, is going to quietly slide by tonight. It will stall to our south and that will allow for us benefit from a ridge of high pressure, keeping us dry and sunny for thanksgiving. Temps in the morning will stay in the 50s and afternoon highs in the 70s.

By Friday, another rainy pattern develops. This pattern isn’t set in stone, but upper-level low pressure will sling a few disturbances into the Deep South Friday , increasing our rain chances south of I-20. There may be a few Saturday morning showers, but by in large, it will be a drier day. I have removed rain chances from the Iron Bowl forecast, but a stray shower can’t be completely ruled out. We will not have any soakers though. Also of note, there isn’t much instability to work with, so severe weather doesn’t look likely. Sunday, even more rain chances develop as our pattern stays locked in.

By the start of next work week, drier and much cooler air is forecast to dive in. We could be talking about a widespread freeze by Tuesday morning…..and dare I saw a POSSIBILITY of a snow flurry early Tuesday morning?!?
