BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A 38-year-old Birmingham woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Stephanie Renee Hollifield was involved in a crash on 8th Street South at 6th Avenue South around 12:43 a.m. Saturday. Hollifield was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment, but died from her injuries around 6:44 a.m.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Birmingham Police Department.
