McDonald’s tests table-side service abroad

(WIAT) — McDonald’s is adding another element to its restaurants in hopes of getting out of a sales slump. The company is introducing tableside service.

McDonald’s is testing out servers bringing food to the customers at locations abroad.

Here’s how it works: you order food at a touchscreen kiosk, then sit down and wait.

It doesn’t sound like fast food, but McDonald’s said it’s popular at the test locations.

However, McDonald’s lovers in the United States shouldn’t expect to see this service under the golden arches locally, as the company doesn’t currently have a plan in place to start this service in the states.
