BIRMINGHAM, Ala., (WIAT) — The vigil was hosted by “Late Night Praise”. The group is an internationally and locally faith group that gets together once a week to pray and give to the homeless. Wednesday night they held a candlelight vigil to remember the life of Carter.
Birmingham Police Officers along with friends and others were present.
Carter was shot and killed in the line of duty while attempting to stop burglars from breaking into cars.
The vigil started at 6:30 at Railroad Park.
