JERSEY VILLAGE, Texas (KXAN, CBS & WIAT) — UPDATE 4:30 p.m. We are following breaking news. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences confirms the cause of death for Heidi Broussard was strangulation.
10:00 a.m. – The body of a Texas mother who has been missing since Dec. 12th has possibly been found in the trunk of a car.
Officials say they believe the body is that of 33-year-old Heidi Broussard, an Austin woman who was last seen with her 1-month child as she was dropping her 6-year-old son off at school.

The unidentified body was found in the trunk of a car early Friday morning near a home that is believed to belong to a close friend of Broussard in Jersey Village, Texas. That’s near Houston.
Police say that the body found still needs to be identified by the medical examiner.
Austin Police confirmed Friday morning around 10:38 a.m. that a baby girl was found at a home in Houston on Thursday. Officials are testing her DNA to determine if she is the missing baby Margot Carey. According to the Austin Police Department, the child is healthy and Child Protective Services is caring for her.
Officials say a car parked at the home on Bo Jack Drive which is where law enforcement has been since Thursday night is registered to Magen Rose Fieramusca, who is currently listed as being in custody at the Harris County Jail.
Harris County police records say Fieramusca was arrested Friday by APD on two counts of kidnapping and tampering with evidence. That evidence was a human corpse, records say. She is being held on a $600,000 bond.
