Brianna Williams, the mother of Taylor Rose Williams, is currently in the hospital with life-threatening conditions after an attempted suicide attempt Tuesday, according to the Jacksonville Police Department.

UPDATE 11/11- JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in Florida say they’re expanding the search of a missing 5-year-old girl to Alabama, and the girl’s mother is no longer cooperating with their investigation.

The Jacksonville, Florida Sheriff’s Office says a mother is a person of interest and he is asking for the public’s help in finding the little girl.

Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said during a news conference Monday that officers have been deployed to Demopolis, Alabama, west of Montgomery.

Williams says Taylor Williams, who is not related to the sheriff, was reported missing from her Jacksonville home last Wednesday. The sheriff says Taylor’s mother, Brianna Williams, has not spoken with investigators since that day.

Sheriff Williams is asking the public to contact his office if anyone has seen the mother and daughter between Alabama and Florida in the past two weeks.

Authorities have also been searching for the girl in Georgia.

Sheriff Williams says they’re still hoping to find the girl alive.

Williams said the mother Brianna, a U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class at NAS Jacksonville, is from Alabama and has family there. A 2010 graduate of Linden High School, Brianna Williams attended Alabama A&M, graduating in 2015 with a degree in mechanical engineering.

We are told, the little girl’s father Maurice Tate, and paternal grandmother, also live in Alabama.

11/09 – JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WIAT & CNN) A Nationwide Amber Alert remains in effect for missing 5-year-old Taylor Rose Williams from Jacksonville, Florida.

And we are now learning more about this investigation as authorities are offering a $4,000 reward for information about the whereabouts of the missing 5-year-old.

Police say Taylor Rose Williams was last seen in her room on Tuesday night before she went missing. But an unidentified person called 911 saying the little girl was not in her bedroom the next morning and the back door was unlocked.

A Nationwide Amber Alert was issued for Williams on Wednesday morning.

On Thursday, investigators announced the child’s mother is no longer cooperating with the police and she has ties to Alabama.

But now according to authorities, the entire family is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities say Taylor’s mother, Briana Williams worked on the Navy Base in Jacksonville, Florida. Taylor was enrolled at the Navy Base daycare.

According to police, just a few days before Taylor went missing, she and her mother moved from an apartment complex about 15 minutes away from the home where she went missing.

Immediately when Taylor was reported missing, Thursday morning investigators performed an extensive search at both the apartment and home they currently live in. Searches were also done using K-9 units, mountain, and air patrol.

The Navy Crime Investigation Service is now involved in the search.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen Taylor with her mother any time in the last 6 months to call the police.
