BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham Fire and Rescue have a new way to save lives, and they are only the third department in the United States to have it.
The department has a new apparatus that carries units of blood to treat trauma patients and it’s already making a difference. Birmingham Fire and Rescue members joined CBS 42 Morning News to discuss the benefits of having the new vehicle and how it’s helping the community.
