UAB football team participates in Habitat for Humanity

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT/UAB ATHLETICS) — For the third year in a row, the UAB football program gave back to the community by participating in Habitat for Humanity of Greater Birmingham.

The Blazers worked on one of the organizations more critical projects of the summer which included repairing the homeowner’s roof, repairing/replacing rotting wood and repainting the exterior of a home in Fairfield.

Damon and Damien Miller, two players from the team, are from Fairfield and they were glad to give back to their home and help.

“It feels good to come back and give back to the community any community but especially the one that I’m from so it feels good to be around here seeing the place I grew up in the hills I walked,” Damien said.
