The University of Alabama women’s wheelchair basketball heads to Nationals

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — The University of Alabama women’s wheelchair basketball team traveled to Edinboro University in Pennsylvania for the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament from Thursday, March 10, to Saturday, March 12.

The UA women are entering this tournament with a 9-13 overall record and a 4-11 conference record. They are the third seed in the tournament and will play their first game against University of Texas-Arlington, the second seed, Thursday at 6 p.m. at Edinboro University.

The University of Texas-Arlington women’s team has an 11-7 overall record and an 8-3 conference record.  The Tide women have not yet defeated the Movin’ Mavs this season, but have been close each encounter and are looking for a big win on Thursday.

The game will be broadcasted live each day at gofightingscots.com.
