HOOVER, Ala (WIAT) – The 2019 SEC Media Days kicked off Monday giving the media and fans the chance to hear from their team’s quarterbacks ahead of the season.
The SEC has always been a conference known for its defense, but 2019 could be the year of the quarterback with loads of talent all over the board, and some returning starters under center throughout the league. Three of the conference’s top signal-callers took center stage Monday including Missouri Tiger’s Kelly Bryant, LSU’s Joe Burrow, and Florida Gator’s Felipe Franks.
Bryant is the SEC newcomer after transferring from Clemson and decided to stay with Missouri despite the school receiving a bowl and from the NCAA.
“Just hearing that, I was like first and foremost I don’t want to leave. I don’t want to go through that recruiting process over again,” said Bryant. “I’ve already built the relationship within a month or two with those guys. I was already establishing myself and working every day. And I was like this is where I want to be and just made the decision so I’m not going to you know, turn on it now.”
Tune in tonight at 10 with CBS 42’s Simone Eli to hear more from Joe Burrow and Felipe Franks in our SEC Media Day Special.
