Mississippi State holds parade, ceremony to mark baseball championship

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WJTV) — Mississippi State University officials held a parade on Friday to celebrate the baseball team’s 2021 national championship.

On Friday, the route began at The Little Dooey on University Drive and ended outside the home plate gate at Dudy Noble Field. Fans were lined along the parade route to cheer on the Diamond Dawgs.

During the ceremony at Dudy Noble Field, the team presented the NCAA Championship trophy to their fans. Starkville Mayor Lynn Spruill also proclaimed June 30 as Diamond Dawg Day in Starkville, and she presented Head Coach Chris Lemonis with a key to the city.
