It’s week 10 of the high school football season and teams are competing in their final region matchups before closing out the 2023 regular season and heading into playoffs for a chance at a state title.

This week, CBS 42 is heading to Hoover to catch the showdown between two of the most widely known high school football programs in Alabama– the Hoover High School Buccaneers and the Thompson High School Warriors.

With kickoff set for 7 p.m. sharp in the Hoover Met Complex, you don’t want to miss what is sure to be a fierce competition.

Before heading into the game and cheering on your respective teams, drop by Hoover’s local Whataburger for a pregame feast of mouth-watering burgers like the fiery “Jalapeno and Cheese Whataburger,” the cool and savory “Avocado Bacon Burger” or the new “Chili Cheeseburger,” available for a limited time only.

Then, be sure to buy your tickets before arriving at stadium gates for quick entry. And remember that the Hoover Met Complex has a zero-tolerance policy for noisemakers like cowbells, air horns, keys and more, as well as for outside food or beverages.

Another important thing to note: the Hoover Met is a cashless facility, so plan accordingly for your in-between-quarters concession stand runs.
