Tuscaloosa, Ala. (WIAT) — For the first time under new head coach Nate Oats, the Alabama men’s basketball team held an open practice at Coleman Coliseum.

Oats, who was hired in the spring to replace Avery Johnson, said that practices have been going well, and he’s pleased with how his team has bought into his coaching staff and the new system.

Oats inherits a squad that narrowly missed the NCAA tournament in 2019, after making the field of 64 the season before.
