Bart Sessions named McAdory football head coach

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Bart Sessions was approved as the new McAdory football head coach by the Jefferson County Board of Education on Tuesday. Sessions replaces David Powell who spent 25 years leading the Yellow Jackets.

“Coach Powell and his staff, they’ve done an excellent job for so many years. One of the state powers, they’re in the conversation each and every year. So we are just super excited to go in and take over that program and hopefully leave our mark on it as well,” said Sessions.

Sessions led the Gadsden City football program the past two seasons and is 42-27 overall as a head coach, including a 32-5 run at McGill-Toolen High School.
