Alabama players reflect on CFP championship loss

SANTA CLARA, Calif (WIAT)– The 2018 Alabama senior class will go down as the all-time winningest class in FBS history with two national titles and 55 overall wins. Emotions were high as they stepped off the field for the last time after the 44-16 loss to Clemson in the national championship.

Some of the underclassmen have a decision to make about their future, including junior defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, who emerged as a first-year starter, winning the Outland Trophy for the nation’s best interior lineman.

Junior defensive back Deionte Thomspon stepped in to a unit that lost its top six defensive backs. He emerged as a leader in the secondary.
