American Football’s Birmingham Iron today announced its partnership with Greater Birmingham Habitat for Humanity in an effort to make a positive difference in the community.
“Greater Birmingham Habitat for Humanity is excited to have been selected as the Birmingham Iron’s nonprofit partner,” said Patricia Burch, Greater Birmingham Habitat for Humanity Executive Director. “Their identity of being a blue collar, hard working team exemplifies the work our families do to be able to purchase a home through our program. We are excited to help build and revitalize communities with the Birmingham Iron.”
On Tuesday, March 12 at Legion Field, members of the Iron front office and current players will be framing walls for the future Birmingham Iron home that will house a family from the Birmingham area.
The Birmingham Iron support for Habitat for Humanity is part of The Alliance’s broader commitment to social responsibility, known as the Heart of the Alliance.
