Valley Police detail disturbing allegations in minor’s extortion, sexual assault

VALLEY, Ala. (WRBL) – Valley police arrest a man and a woman in connection with disturbing allegations involving the sexual assault of a juvenile victim.

Major Mike Reynolds with the Valley Police Department tells News 3 on March 13, 2019, Auburn Police Detectives contacted the Valley Police Department about a sexual assault that had occurred in Valley in 2018.

“Valley Detectives spoke with the juvenile victim, and she stated that while she was living in Valley with Heather Turner, where Turner would continually video and photograph her when she was in the shower. After one of these episodes an adult male, later identified as Timothy Hendrix showed up at the house and sexually assaulted her in the presence of Turner. After the assault, Turner told the victim she would beat her if she told anyone,” said Major Reynolds.

Major Reynolds said when Turner was interviewed by detectives, she admitted she had taken photos of the victim and has sent them to Hendrix.

“She (Turner) also stated Hendrix was the adult male who had come to the house and assaulted the victim,” said Major Reynolds.

On March 29, Turner who is 36-years-old from the Auburn area was arrested and charged with Sexual Extortion, a Class B Felony. On May 9, Hendrix, who is a 27-year-old from Newsite, was arrested and charged with Sodomy 1st, a Class A Felony, and Sexual Abuse 1st, a Class C Felony.

Both Turner and Hendrix have been booked into the Chambers County Detention Facility and are pending bond hearings.
