(WIAT) — A new report shows some people will not travel this Summer because they cannot afford it. The new report says this will affect 39-million adults. The Bankrate survey says the average expense for travel this Summer is nearly $2,000. Travel experts say a little planning can keep costs down without skimping out on the fun.
Dayvee Sutton, a travel expert, said, “Having a good vacation experience really comes down to being prepared and doing a bit of research.”
Experts say the biggest expense is usually airfare. They say you can use online tools and apps to help you with research, planning and booking cheap accommodations.
