Indiana State Police: Two killed in plane crash near Indianapolis Regional Airport

Indianapolis, IN – (CNN & WRTV)  A deadly plane crash is under investigation in Indianapolis, Indiana. According to the Indiana State Police Department, two people were killed in a plane crash near Indianapolis Regional Airport in Hancock County.

A dispatcher with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department said they’ve received many reports of heavy smoke and flames near 4400 West and 500 North, which is near the Indianapolis Regional Airport, formerly Mt. Comfort Airport.

NTSB and the FAA will be investigating, which is standard procedure for a plane crash.

It is unknown if there are any injuries The crash remains under investigation.
