UAB blows out Alabama A&M at inaugural BHM JAM

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – UAB Blazers Basketball kept with the 90’s theme Saturday during the first BHM JAM at Legacy Arena at the BJCC. The Blazers put up 90 points in a 90-58 rout of Alabama A&M.

Great passing and hot shooting from 3 helped the Blazers build a 24 point halftime lead. They shot 14-21 from beyond the arc and racked up 20 assists in the win. Guard Nate Darling led the way for UAB with 20 points on 6-7 shooting (4-5 from 3). Julian Walters scored 15 in the loss for Alabama A&M.

The Blazers move to 7-4 on the season. Their next game is Wednesday against New Orleans.
