Tuscaloosa Police make arrest in attempted murder investigation, 2 suspects still at large


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Tuscaloosa Police have arrested one suspect in an attempted murder investigation on Thursday, November 8. They are still searching for two others. 

Thursday November 8 around 5:15 p.m., Tuscaloosa Police responded to the 4100 block of 20th Street on a shooting call. Police arrived to find a 36-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to DCH Medical Center for treatment for serious injuries. As of Tuesday, November 13, police say the victim is still in the hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times. 

New information from police reports the victim was sitting in his car at a third party residence when he was approached by two men who were armed with handguns. The two suspects robbed the victim and shot him several times. The suspects then fled on foot to a nearby apartment complex where they were picked up in a red car. 

Investigators have located the car and one of the suspects identified as Diamante Antario Robinson, 23. He is charged with attempted murder and robbery. Robinson is currently held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending $120,000 total bond.
