Tuscaloosa man arrested on attempted murder charge


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — A man has been arrested on an attempted murder charge in Tuscaloosa.

On Wednesday, December 19, around 1:45 p.m. Tuscaloosa Police responded to the 2500 block of Fosters Ferry Road on a shooting call. When police arrived, they found a 21-year-old man who told police Willie Terrell Wills, 38, shot at him several times. The victim alerted police that although he was shot at, he was not injured by any of the bullets. 

Investigators then obtained an attempted murder warrant on Wills and U.S. Marshal’s Task Forced and Tuscaloosa Police arrested Wills Thursday night, authorities report. He is currently in Tuscaloosa County Jail with a $60,000 bond. 

Police tell CBS 42 further charges are possible as two homes were also struck when Wills was shooting at the victim.
