PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (CNN) — A triple homicide suspect led authorities in Virginia on a chase throughout residential neighborhoods. All while the suspect ran naked.
The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Matthew Bernard killed two women and a child Tuesday. Authorities say Bernard and the victims were related.
Police were trying to arrest Bernard when he led them on a chase.
At one point, Bernard attacked a church groundskeeper standing nearby.
The officer tried to stop him with mace and a stun gun. He was eventually taken into custody.
