BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — Bessemer Police have issued a release where they announce charges against three people in connection with a robbery that led to a car chase on Thursday.
Officers were dispatched to Hibbett Sports on Thursday around 10:30 a.m. on a call of a robbery in progress and arrived to discover two men had reportedly robbed the store at gunpoint and fled the scene.
Police observed the black Maxima reported to have been used in the robbery and chased it until it wrecked in Pleasant Grove. By noon, police took all three suspects in custody.RELATED: Police arrest 3 suspects after armed robbery call turns into chase
On Friday, Bessemer detectives released charges against 22-year-old Angela Latonya Lowery, 23-year-old Quindarrius Dantrell Brooks, and 23-year-old Emanuel Quayoom Pippens.
All three were charged with one count each of Robbery First Degree and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement. Lowery was also charged with a count of Reckless Endangerment for her reported role in driving the vehicle.
All three are awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail.
