Three injured after car crashes into Pell City home


PELL CITY, Ala. (WIAT) — Cleanup is underway at a Pell City home following a car that went through the wall Thursday afternoon.

According to Chief Paul Irwin of the Pell City Police Department, a white GMC Jimmy crashed into the house around noon. The driver went through the intersection of Truss Ferry Road and Golf Course Road, made a half turn, hit a pole and went into the house.

An infant and elderly woman inside the home were injured. Both have been taken to different hospitals.

The driver of the GMC was also injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. No formal charges have been filed at this time.
