Tarrant police searching for missing inmate

TARRANT, Ala. (WIAT) — Tarrant police report that around 8:30 p.m. Thursday an inmate was noted as missing when an officer conducted a jail check and noticed a door was not shut. The door was experiencing mechanical issues.

Officers began to do a count and noticed that the inmate, Anthony Dion Minor Jr. (pictured) was missing. Officers reviewed jail surveillance and it showed Minor leaving the Tarrant City Jail at 8:24 p.m.

How to identify Minor:

Minor left the jail wearing a black and white stripe jumpsuit (as seen in picture) and was last seen in the area of Highway 79.

What to do:

Detectives have obtained two warrants on Minor for possession of a forged instrument to the third degree and escape to the second degree.
