BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Police have an update in a shooting investigation that left one man dead at a gas station on Montevallo Road, Sunday, March 10.
Birmingham Police have Michael Daniels, 25, in custody on capital murder and kidnapping and robbery warrants.
Sunday, March 10, police responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of Montevallo Road SW at the BP gas station where authorities found Gregory Snodgress dead lying in the road.
Daniels, now a suspect in this investigation, is in custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
Police also obtained additional warrants against him in other investigations including burglary, sex abuse and three counts of kidnapping. The charges in separate investigations include:
The March 6 robbery that happened in the 700 block of Sunhill Road. Daniels is charged with first-degree robbery, kidnapping, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol.
The March 8 robbery that happened in the 7600 block of 3rd Avenue South. He is charged with first-degree robbery.
The March 10 shooting-robbery in the 410 block of 10th Street North at the Chevron. Daniels is charged with attempted murder, first-degree robbery, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
The March 10 murder that happened at 1020 Tuscaloosa Avenue SW. He is also charged with capital murder in this homicide investigation.
The March 10 robbery and home invasion that happened int eh 2600 block of Tempest Drive. Daniels is charged with first-degree burglary, three counts of first-degree robbery, sexual abuse, and three counts of second-degree kidnapping.
