Source: Tuscaloosa police chief to announce resignation Wednesday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Tuscaloosa Police Chief Steve Anderson will announce his resignation in a press conference Wednesday, a source says.

Anderson’s resignation will go into effect at the end of August.

Anderson will take a job at the University of Alabama as the Director of System Security.

TPD Assistant Chief Mitt Tubbs will serve as interim chief once Anderson leaves Aug. 30.
