Skeleton remains found near Brighton trailer identified

(WIAT) — On August 8, a couple discovered skeletal remains near a trailer as they were sorting through trash. Based on dental records, the remains have been identified as 58-year-old Henry Walter Garrett of the Bessemer Area.

Garrett was found in an abandoned trailer in the 100 block of Parker Springs Street in Brighton around 1:01 p.m and was pronounced dead by Jefferson County Coroner at the same time. He was last known alive on Feb. 1, 2019. The property was owned by his family.
