BAYTOWN, Texas – (CBS) We are following breaking news of a massive fire at the Exxon plant in Baytown, Texas.

Authorities say residents and businesses in the area are urged to ‘Shelter-in-place’ as Fire and Emergency crews work to battle the blaze.

According to the City of Baytown, the massive fire is at the ExxonMobil Baytown Complex at 3525 Decker Drive.

As a precaution, the facility has issued a shelter in place west of the plant and south of 330.

Emergency response teams are monitoring air quality around the complex and in the community.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No word on any injuries.
