Shelby County Sheriff’s Office locates missing, hearing impaired 7-year-old

STERRETT, Ala. (WIAT) — Update: Authorities, with the help of search parties made up of volunteers, have located the missing 7-year-old child.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement Monday just before 7 p.m.

Orginal: The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 7-year-old child in the area of Bear Creek Road, or County Road 43.

The child is described as a white male, 4 feet tall, 45 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing gray pajama pants and a light blue shirt. He may have a dog with him.

The child is hearing impaired and wears hearing aids.

Authorities are gathering at Pleasant Sight Baptist Church to gather search teams.

Anyone with information or has seen the child is asked to call authorities immediately.
