Second arrest made in Galleria parking deck homicide


HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — The Hoover Police Department announces the arrest of a second suspect in the murder of Zachariah Taylor Music. The arrested suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Dannarious De Shon Washington of Hoover, Alabama. Washington has been charged with capital murder and is being held with no bond in the Hoover City Jail.

Washington will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail in the day (Tuesday). Hoover police state that detectives are still analyzing the facts and evidence surrounding the case to determine if there are any additional suspects involved.

About the homicide investigation:

Hoover police and fire department responded to te 5th level of the North Parking Deck at the Riverchase Galleria on June 26th at 1:29 p.m. The first responders arrived to the scene spotting a victim sitting in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at 1:39 p.m by Hoover fire medics (see related headlines).

Detectives then obtained a warrant against Michael Jabari Akamune Saturday afternoon. The second suspect, Washington, turned himself into the Hoover Police Monday.
