Roy Moore drops defamation lawsuit filed in July

News

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Former Judge Roy Moore voluntarily dropped a lawsuit he filed back in July of this year, according to court documents.

Moore sued the political action committees which he alleges were behind commercials that broadcast allegations of improper relationships with teenage girls in the 1970s.

Adam Muhlendorf, Longleaf Strategies, Inc., Edwards Still, Highway 31 Super Pac, Bully Pulpit Interactive, Jim Margolis, Waterfront Strategies, Priorities USA, and Josh Schwerin were listed as defendants in this case.

The court documents state —

“WHEREBY, Plaintiffs [Roy S. Moore and Kayla Moore] dismiss this action without prejudices as to all causes of action against all defendants.”

These documents were made available today. It does not state a reason as far as why Moore dropped the lawsuit.
