HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — The Sears at Riverchase Galleria will be closing in late October, according to a release from the company.
The closing comes as Sears and K-Mart plan to close 25 other stores across the country.
The company plans to start opening smaller retail stores rather than large-format stores such as Sears and K-Mart.
Liquidation sales at the stores are expected to begin around August 15.
While the store itself will close in late October, the auto centers will close later this month.
