Red panda triplets born at Kansas City Zoo

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CNN NEWSOURCE) — A trio of new arrivals has the Kansas City Zoo beaming with pride.

On July 11, red panda parents Randy and Kate welcomed triplets. The cubs aren’t ready for their big debut yet, but will spend time in the nesting box for a few months.

The triplets don’t have names yet. In fact, whether they are boys or girls is still a mystery.

Red pandas, also known as “firefoxes,” are native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. They are also considered an endangered species.
