Rachel on the Road: Santa’s Underground Workshop

News

WARRIOR, Ala. (WIAT) — Rickwood Caverns is adding a new holiday tradition to the park!

Santa’s Underground Workshop brings you a self-guided one-mile tour through a lit up cave. Thousands of lights and decorations, holiday characters – from the Grinch to Santa – and Christmas music will entertain your entire walk through the cave.

This tradition is here for years to come according to Lamar Pendergrass. The park’s superintendent says, “We had no idea what to expect, but if two people show up, for us, it’s a success.”

This holiday season you’ve got until December 23rd to check it out. It’s $10 per person for ages four and up. Ages three and younger get in free. This trail is not accessible for wheelchairs or strollers. For more information on Rickwood Cavern’s Santa Underground Workshop, click here.
