Project Homeless Connect set for Saturday morning

News

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — An annual event will take place Saturday morning to assist members of the local homeless community.

Several organizations work together to make Project Homeless Connect a reality for the past 12 years. The event gives homeless people access to the services they cannot get on a day-to-day basis, including: legal, medical, housing and counseling help.

The event is open to homeless people who are currently in shelters or who are living on the streets. It begins at 8 a.m. at the Boutwell Auditorium.
