According to Sergeant Johnny Carr, Homewood Police are assisting the Tarrant Police after they chased a stolen vehicle into Homewood.


Authorities say the suspect crashed the car on Palisades Blvd near a car wash.

Authorities say the suspect fired shots near Tarrant Elementary School. The school was put on lockdown.


We are told one person has been taken into custody.

No word on any injuries. This is an ongoing investigation.
