Oakdale Elementary reopens in Tuscaloosa following renovations

News

Oakdale Elementary students and faculty are able to return to their school after a year of renovation.

The students have been away at a different campus while the school was being remodeled. It now has 17 new classrooms, a speaking studio for students, and more.

Principal Dr. Lucile Prewitt is calling the school a new beginning.

“We’ve waited on this a very long time,” Dr. Prewitt said. “We have a new brick and mortar building and our attitudes are pumped up. We’ve always been a great school so the brick and mortar is just the icing on the cake.”
