Newsfeed Now for March 29: Car stripped in Memphis hospital parking deck; Anti-Islam post criticism

On Newsfeed Now for March 29, we began in Memphis, where a car was stripped of all four tires, the front grill and headlights inside a Memphis hospital parking garage. WATN’s Annette Peagler told us how the crime has employees on edge.

At 6:15 into the program we stopped in Arkansas where a high school principal’s Facebook post is raising eyebrows. The anti-Islam post on his personal page is calling his ethics into question, among other things. KARK’s Rebecca Jeffrey shared details on the community’s reaction to it all.

Kansas was our next stop at the 11:45 mark. As the country observes Women’s History Month, the Nexstar Nation has been celebrating women on its television station websites. We took a look at KSNW’s profile piece on June Bacon Bercey, a leader in meteorology who broke the glass ceiling and paved the way for other women to follow in her footsteps. Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman joined the conversation to share more.

And in Finally Friday at 16:15, we headed to Alabama to show you how a Mobile television station newsroom is rallying around a colleague who’s fighting cancer. To lift the spirits of the 18-year employee, who dyed her hair blue before her first chemo treatment, the staff showed support by using blue hairspray on themselves. Show host Aaron Nolan had a different way of showing his support for her too!
