Multiple candidates visiting Alabama ahead of Super Tuesday

(WIAT) — The top three Republican candidates are scheduled to visit Alabama before next week’s primaries.

Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio were scheduled to speak at a forum Saturday in Birmingham.

Yellow Hammer News reports via Facebook that Cruz has dropped out of the forum. CBS42 has calls in to Cruz’s campaign to confirm.

The forum will be held at Samford University’s Wright Center.

Trump is scheduled to visit Huntsville Sunday. The event will be at Madison Municipal Stadium. It will be his third campaign stop in the state this election cycle.

Hillary Clinton also announced plans to visit Birmingham on Saturday at Miles College at 12:45 p.m. She is hosting a get out the vote event ahead of Tuesday’s primary.

Dr. Ben Carson will be visiting the AUM College of Public Policy and Justice on Monday, February 29 at 5:30 p.m. The event was organized by Vote America Now, which “aims to engage millennials in the political voting process,” and BET Digital.

The event will only be open to AUM students and will have limited seating, so those wishing to attend should register beforehand.
