GADSDEN, Ala. (WIAT) — Police arrested and charged a man for attempted murder in a shooting that occurred on the Fourth of July.
The shooting happened between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 800 block of South 6th Street, according to Sgt. Hallman with Gadsden Police.
30-year-old Michael Lewis was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife when he allegedly shot his brother-in-law while he was attempting to break up the dispute. The wife reportedly has minor scrapes from the incident.
Lewis is charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm in a building, and third-degree domestic violence. He is being held without bond.
