TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — An uninvolved man was killed in a shooting at the Parker 301 Apartments in Tuscaloosa Sunday night.
Tuscaloosa police were called to the apartments early Monday morning where two men were found with gunshot wounds. Both were treated and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, friends and family of 24-year-old Anthony Killings arrived at the complex after not hearing from Killings since Sunday. Killings was found in his bed deceased.
Upon investigating the scene, authorities discovered a lone bullet hole that had penetrated the outside wall to his apartment that struck him in his sleep.
Evidence was found to link the shootings and authorities began interviewing witnesses to find suspects.
Authorities arrested two suspects Wednesday afternoon in connection to the murder of Killings.
22-year-old Krisshod K’tyse La’Nard Fritz and 23-year-old Demarilo Wayshawn Robertson are charged with Killings’ murder and are both placed on a $225,000 bond.
Both suspects are in custody at this time.
